Privacy policy
Last updated
Hidewell Vault doesn’t collect any personal data. This policy covers the app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and takes effect on 20 October 2026. For this website, see the website privacy policy.
What the app collects
Nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no ads and no tracking, and the app never connects to our servers.
Your files are encrypted on your phone. We never receive your files, your pattern, your recovery phrase or any key that could open them.
The app doesn’t use Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprints. Your pattern is the only way in.
When the app uses the network
Only in two cases:
- Purchases. Upgrading to Pro or restoring a purchase goes through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). We never receive your payment details.
- Backup, if you turn it on. Your backup is encrypted on your phone and stored in your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive. We can’t access it.
Your rights
We hold no personal data from the app, so there is nothing for us to show you, correct or delete. Your files live only on your devices and in your own cloud. You can still email us, or complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at dpa.gr.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and say so in the app’s release notes.
